Scales is very excited to present its 4th annual SCALES BAHAMAS OPEN to be held in Port Lucaya, Bahamas on June 3rd-5th, 2011. This is a charity tournament which honors John L. Moore who was an avid fisherman who became ill while scuba diving and tragically passed away in 2008. He was known to the fishing community as “Lil’ John” so in memory of him, the winning boat each year is awarded the “Lil’ John Memorial Cup”.
The SCALES BAHAMAS OPEN is like no other fishing tournament out there! The mission of the tournament is to bring anglers together to one of the worlds greatest fishing destinations in order to have a blast and at the same time support a great charity! The unique format will enable fisherman to target pelagic species of Tuna and Dolphin, as well as show off their deep drop skills in some of the most productive drop areas anywhere in the world for Mystic Grouper and Queen Snapper! One of the highlights of the weekend will be the dock party on Saturday night sponsored by Sands which you do not want to miss!
